Garriock has played for the Lynx the last two yearsSmall played for the Lynx in 2006September 5- Heather Garriock and Danielle Small, Australian National Team players who have really set the standard and shaped the culture of the Adirondack Lynx WPSL team over the past 2 years departed for China today. The Matildas are heading to the 2008 FIFA Women's World Cup with a renewed sense of confidence. The Matildas are fresh off beating the Chinese (currently ranked #11) twice in 3 days as they played on the road at the brand new Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium in China. In the second match Garriock, playing in her new position of outside midfield, got the ball rolling as she netted the first goal of the night in front of 52,000 people. Australia wins First World Cup Match 4-1. Garriock scores and has an assist in the Ghana match.

9/15 Australia vs. Norway - ESPN2 @ 7:55am

Australia ties #4 Norway 1-1. Small gets starting nod, Garriock named player of the match.

9/19 Australia vs. Canada - ESPN @ 4:55am

History in the making! The Matildas move to the quarterfinals in dramatic fashion. Australia ties Canada in stoppage time to earn a match with Brazil.

9/23 Australia vs. Brazil - ESPN2 @ 8:00am

Garriock collects an assist to knot the game at 2-2 in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, the Matildas run towards the 2007 world cup comes to an end.

Kylee Litchfield to Play with Mia Hamm and Julie Foudy at the Soccer Hall of Fame

Garriock back on roster and looking for some winsAugust 14 - Kylee Litchfield, 2 year captain for the Lynx and a 2006 NSCAA First Team All-American, was one of only 16 players chosen by SoccerPlus CT to represent the WPSL in an exhibition game with the Washington Freedom. The Match will be played at 2pm on August 26 at the Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta, NY. This game is a part of a special weekend where Mia and Julie will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The Adirondack Lynx Shine at Golden Goal in a 4-1 win over the Massachusetts Stingers.

Garriock back on roster and looking for some winsJuly 15 -Mary Velan and Tabby Lowey took it to the stingers as each scored 2 goals. The Lynx played their final match of the season at their new home, the Golden Goal Youth Tournament Park located near Lake George, NY. The park was hosting a girls week long Olympic Style tournament for players U11-U14. The 2006 Divisional Champions and Eastern Conference Finalists finished the season at 6-4 (just 1 win away from returning to the play-offs).

The Lynx stay in the hunt for the playoffs as they beat Bay State 5-1 for their third straight victory.

Garriock back on roster and looking for some winsJune 30 - Ohio State's Carla Arbulu had a hat trick and an assist to lead all scorers in the 5-1 victory over the Bay State Select. Also collecting goals were Tabby Lowey and Cassie Dickerson.

Adirondack gains some pride in defeating Maryland 1-0

Garriock back on roster and looking for some winsJune 30 - In the 8th minute Tabby Lowey found Mary Velan streaking to goal. The NCAA All-American took full advantage of the situation and put the ball in the back of the net. With the win the Lynx improve to 4-4 on the season.

Adirondack Splits on the Weekend. Loses to Long Island and Beats the New York Athletic Club

Garriock back on roster and looking for some winsJune 22/23 - On Friday night Heather Garriock and Carala Arbulu scored for the Adirondack Lynx. Unfortuanely, Long Island countered this with 4 goals of thier own. Against NYAC on June 23, Arbula and Garriock were not done scoring. Arbulu finished with 2 goal's and an assist. Garriok tallied one of her own. Also scoring was Mary Velan.

The Lynx Returned to the Adirondack Sports Complex Unsuccessfully

Garriock back on roster and looking for some winsJune 19 - With a lightening storm threatening the 6pm kick-off between the New England Mutiny and the Adirondack Lynx outdoors, they moved the match indoors. The game was moved from Skidmore College 20 miles north to the Adirondack Sports Complex. The Mutiny got their revenge this time around. A month ago the Lynk knocked the Mutiny out of the open cup with a 2-0 win. This time the Mutiny were victorious as they beat Adirondack 3-0.

Garriock 2, Real Shore FC 0, Aussie sez g'day and g'night

Garriock back on roster and looking for some winsJune 15 - Australian International Heather Garriock stepped onto the Wachenhiem Stadium turf at Skidmore College for her Lynx season debut less than 18 hours after a marathon 30 hour flight from Oz. She was jet-lagged, feeling 'a bit knackered' but absolutely determined to make the most of her first appearance. She did not disappoint in any way. In a very abbreviated number of minutes-- for Garriock at least-- she bagged two well struck goals and put the game away for Adirondack. Final score, ADK-2, Real Shore NJ - 0. The Lynx defense, Kienna Mitchell, Cassie Dickerson, Kylee Litchfield, and Lauren Robertson, was also outstanding on the night, holding the New Jersey team scoreless and literally snuffing any life or danger out of their attack. {full report to follow}

Garriock back on roster and looking for some winsJune 15 - Adirondack's Australian stalwart central midfielder and team play maker is back in the States and looking to create havoc for her WPSL opponents. She's had a crazy and hectic schedule this year in the build up for her country's run to the 2007 World Cup in China, not to mention her additional pressure of Aussie qualifying matches for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. You can catch her first Lynx home game of the season tonight at Skidmore College @ 6pm against Real Shore FC OF New Jersey.

Lyns take the Philly Liberty 5-2 in their first home matchJune 13 - Carla Arbulu (Ohio State) took no time making an immediate impact on the WPSL. In only her 2nd match with the Lynx, she gave an on field performance deemed the best of the week for the entire league. Also picked on the WPSL team of the week for June 8-11 was U20 National Team standout and Gatorade NCSAA High School player of the year, Hannah Cerrone (Boston College bound). These League honors will certainly help those A'dack players pick up some looks and nods from various pro women's coaches looking to fill their rosters for the upcoming Pro Women's League (WSII). A'dack beats NE Mutiny 2-0, advances in National Open Cup, Cerrone and Lowey tally

National CupIt took almost 55 minutes for the Lynx to get their "groove" back and pick up where they left off in 2006. Erika Bohn (Notre Dame, 2005) kept Adirondack close during the first half as she was called on to make a number of saves that would have been sure goals. Tabby Lowey (Northwestern, 2005) hit the nets first as she brilliantly one-timed a redirected ball in from about 15 yards out. Ten minutes later, Hannah Cerrone, (U20 National Team), drove home the insurance goal. Cerrone sliced and diced up the right flank, leaving several defenders in her wake then struck the rocket from 20 yards out. The Lynx now face Tony DiCicco's SoccerPlus team on Sunday, May 20 in Connecticut. The winner advances to the Region 1 National Cup finals.

Katie Gardiner and Laura Stockdale add more depth to the Lynx Roster

Australian World Cup Player, Heather Garriock returns

Heather GarriockAustralian National Team coach Tom Sermanni is allowing Heather Garriock, a starting defender on the Matildas, to play with the Lynx this summer. Australia is currently gearing up for the 2008 Olympic qualifiers and their run at the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in September. Last season, Garriock was the catalyst in propelling first year A'dack to a divisional title, and the East Conference Finals against the eventual WPSL Champions LI Fury. Full Story >>

Ashley Moore, U16 & U17 National Team, commits to UNC

Ashley Moore headed to UNCCurrent Lynx player, Ashley Moore (Clifton Park, NY), considered to be one of the top 20 high school recruits in the country will be a part of the #1 recruited class for 2006 as she heads to the University of North Carolina according to the online source Soccer Buzz Magazine.

Moore has chosen to stay home this summer and play for the Lynx because she felt she really wanted to focus on training. Anson Dorance, Head Coach for UNC, has made it clear to her the expectations needed to play for a team of UNC's caliber. She feels that with less travel this summer and more time to work out with the Lynx should really elevate her game.

Moore should turn out to be a local fan favorite this summer because the Lynx will be playing 3 home games right in her "backyard" at the Clifton Commons.

The Adirondack Lynx Summer Soccer School is a unique 10-week training program for girls at the U12, U14, and U16 levels. The 10 weeks of training is meant to compliment a players club team schedule.
