Lynx season over with 2-0 loss to Long Island Fury in the East Conference Final playoff.

National Soccer Hall of Fame seems to be the "Lynx Jinx"

Vanessa Patry has Ray's defender Vanessa DiPaolo turned the wrong way round July 23, 2006, Oneonta, NY - The Lynx started and ended their inaugural season the same way at the same location -- a disappointing loss at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta, NY.

The number two seeded Long Island Fury had something to prove today and they came out and did it. They beat the number one seeded Lynx in the in the Eastern Conference playoffs finals by a score of 2-0.

It was only two weeks ago that Adirondack knocked off the fury 2-1 in Clifton Park, NY., back then Long Island was undefeated and unscored upon.

The Fury's player of the game for this playoff match though was Forward Emily Sammis; she scored at the 10th and 57th minute to earn her team a trip to Salt Lake City for the 2006 WPSL Championships on July 28-29.

With the loss the Adirondack Lynx finish the season at 8-4. In their first season, the Lynx were able to earn a first Divisional title and become Eastern Conference Finalists. This is quite an impressive feat considering the Lynx did not develop through an existing soccer club, or organization like most teams in the WPSL.

Ashley Moore, U16 & U17 National Team, Headed to UNC

Ashley Moore headed to UNCCurrent WPSL Lynx player, Ashley Moore (Clifton Park, NY), considered to be one of the top 20 high school recruits in the country will be a part of the #1 recruited class for 2006 as she heads to the University of North Carolina according to the online source Soccer Buzz Magazine.

Moore has chosen to stay home this summer and play for the Lynx because she felt she really wanted to focus on training. Anson Dorance, Head Coach for UNC, has made it clear to her the expectations needed to play for a team of UNC's caliber. She feels that with less travel this summer and more time to work out with the Lynx should really elevate her game.

Moore should turn out to be a local fan favorite this summer because the Lynx will be playing 3 home games right in her "backyard" at the Clifton Commons.
