New Britain, Conn. –It took the Adirondack Lynx less than 20 minutes to figure out that SoccerPlus CT has one thing on their mind this year....a WPSL National Championship. In a 5-0 win, CT gave the new faces on the Lynx an opportunity to see why the WPSL is considered one of the best women's league in the world.

CT, loaded with some of the nations best youth players and potential professional players in 2009 took no time getting on the board. They scored 3 minutes into the game off a corner kick. Then with some great combination play made it 4-0 within the first 35 minutes of play. Scoring for CT was led by Becky Ryan with 2 goals, while Tomecka, Graczyk, and Weimer each added one a piece.

Once Adirondack got to half time and sorted out their defensive assignments they played very well. The Lynx only gave up 1 goal in the second half. The Lynx will look to rebound from their rocky start to the season next week when they host the Massachusetts Stingers.

The WPSL is a 51-team national women's soccer league with five conferences and is considered one of the top women's soccer leagues in the world. The WPSL's mission is to provide the highest level of women's soccer while simultaneously providing affordable, quality family entertainment and positive role models for youth.
