Been watching the World Cup on ESPN? Thinking about playing in it someday? Do you have skillz? We are talking serious soccer skillz here...If you want the bragging rights of the entire Capital Region and beyond, then show up at the A. L. Soccer Skillz Challenge on June 17 at 5:30pm at the Clifton Commons prior to the start of the Adirondack Lynx home game at 7:00pm.
The Skillz Challenge will test your ability in 4 areas of the worlds most popular game...Juggling, Passing, Dribbling, and Shooting.

Do you have a great first touch? How many times can you JUGGLE the ball in the air without using your hands and without it touching the ground? You will have two tries to get your all-time best!
Would you rather get the assist then the goal? In the PASSING challenge you will have 3 tries to strut your stuff by playing a 10 yard ball on the ground to target areas.
So you can take anyone 1 on 1 anytime, any place? With the DRIBBLING challenge it is you, the clock, a ball, and pure determination. Take 'em on!
Does you coach tell you to hit side netting on Penalty Kicks? Well do it hitting the upper 90 three times during the SHOOTING challenge and you will most likely take home top honors.
No matter...Boy or Girl, players will be placed into four age groups (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-14) for the Soccer Skillz Challenge. Winners will be determined by earning points in all four of the various events to come up with a total number. The top 2 players from each group will get an opportunity to vie for the rights of Champion at 1/2 time of the Lynx game. Get practicing!
