SoccerFest 2006 Festival and Celebration to be held before and during the Lynx Opener June 3

Radio Disney's 'Phil N. Good' will M.C. and provide entertainment held inside the ASC Dome -- FREE admission for kids under 18.

SoccerFest 2006, a evening of festivities, fun, giveaways, and soccer celebration for the whole family will be happening Saturday June 3 at 6pm at the Adirondack Sports Complex in Queensbury, NY.

This family festival is the prelude to the Adirondack Lynx inaugural home soccer game vs the Maryland Pride, and is a celebration of the birth of the Adirondack Lynx as a WPSL franchise.

All kids under 18 years of age will be admitted FREE of charge to both the festival and the Lynx game inside the ASC Dome. Adult admission is only $5.00. and tickets will be available at the door, or in advance by calling (518) 466-0534. Youth soccer teams are encouraged to wear their uniforms to the festival / game to show their own team colors.

It will all take place rain or shine since the festival will be held inside the Adirondack Sports Complex Dome under the lights, so plan to attend no matter what the weather forecast is.

SoccerFest will be jam packed with lots of entertainment and activities for all kids, young and old alike. Radio Disney will host and handle the Master of Ceremonies duties for the evening. In addition, there will be food, games, bounce houses, soccer skills challenges, batting cages, live Looney Tunes characters from the Six Flags / Great Escape Looney Tunes National Park, and the opportunity to meet the Lynx team players in person.

It's a perfect chance for kids to meet, chat, and get autographs from many of the local New York female soccer stars, national level soccer players,and the Lynx international World Cup and Olympic star players too.

The Evening's Master of Ceremonies will be Radio Disney’s very own 'Phil N’ Good'. Radio Disney 1460AM is the only radio station in the Capital District broadcasting to kids ages 6-14 with a full time programming mix of music, on-air remote location promotions, and interactive activities.

SoccerFest is sure to be a carnival-like atmosphere. So plan to come, bring the entire family, and visit the Adirondack Sports Complex from 6 pm - 8:30 pm and join the Adirondack Lynx for a evening of festivity, fun and top level women's soccer action.

The Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) is one of the top ranked Women's soccer leagues in the world and is a grassroots soccer organization at heart. Being committed to grassroots development means the WPSL was founded on the principle that our youth and future players matter; that's why family oriented events like Soccerfest are held-- to make the sport both fun and inspirational to youth. This season's Adirondack Lynx roster features a Parade Magazine 1st team High School All-American, several US National Youth Team Players, and two World Cup / Olympic players. Bring the kids for the fun, games, and festival, and let them be inspired by by the high levels of play attainable within their sport.

Admission is FREE for kids, $5.00 for adults. ( The $5.00 admission price covers both Soccerfest and the Lynx Soccer match vs. the Maryland Pride.)
