The Adirondack Lynx All-Female Elite Soccer Academy is offering an 8-week Summer Development School that will conclude with a 6 day stay at Golden Goal, the $15,000,000 all-inclusive Olympic style soccer tournament park being built near Lake George.

The Summer Development School is to provide female youth players (U11-U14) an opportunity to dream and kick there game up a notch by training under some of the Adirondack Lynx WPSL coaches and female players!

The focus of the Summer Development School is on the individual player. Our coaches will assess players’ strengths and weaknesses and provide intensive, professional education and specialized training. The goal of the summer program is to supplement and enhance team training by building technique and aiding each player’s effort to reach an optimum level of play.

The Summer Development School will offer a positive environment for girls to learn and developing individual skills. The extent to which individual players benefit from the program is directly related to their commitment and the effort they are willing to put forth in their training experience.

Training sessions will include:
• Techniques of ball handling, finishing, crossing, and individual skills involved in the mastery of the game.
• Small-sided games focusing on specific tactical situations, competitive solutions, and combination play involved in real game situations.
• Specialized sessions devoted to specific field positions—including goalkeeping—that focus on the fitness and technical aspects of those positions.

The 8-week Summer Development School will be held at Gavin Park in Saratoga. It will run on Mondays from 5-6:30pm starting May 21 and ending July 9. The Teams will then participate in the Golden Goal Tournament Week from July 14-20.

The Golden Goal tournament will allow the girls to feel like they are world class athletes. Two of the Lynx WPSL players will act as coaches for each team that travels to the tournament. The players will receive a Golden Goal uniform to be worn during some of their matches at the facility, stay in clubhouses in the secure athlete village with all the other teams. They will go through an opening ceremony, play in a guaranteed 8 games against teams from across the US, participate in team and individual challenges throughout the week, go through a closing ceremony where each player will be inducted into the world youth soccer hall of fame and receive the coveted hall of fame ring. Also included for each player is a one day pass to visit the Six Flags Great Escape Theme Park.

The cost of the Summer Development School is $550. This fee includes; 10 training sessions with Lynx players and coaches, 1 Lynx training outfit (shirt, short, sox, bag) and a 6 night stay at Golden Goal ($650 value by itself) with 2 of the Lynx WPSL players doing the coaching.

NOTE: The Lynx WPSL team will be playing its final regular season match on Sunday, July 15 at Golden Goal while the Developmental School teams are there.
