The Adirondack Lynx will travel to Salem Massachusetts to play another Eastern Division Match against the Boston Aztecs on Saturday June 10 at 7pm at the O'Keefe Sports Complex - 225 Canal Street, Salem, MA on the campus of Salem State College.
Only weeks ago, the Lynx battled the Aztecs at the Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta, NY, losing 2-1 in their inaugural and very exciting match. This weekend, with a few games and some quality practices under their belt, the Lynx travel to Boston looking to secure a victory the second time around. Coach Motsiff is hoping his team can take what they learned from the last game, and turn it into a solid game plan this weekend. His starting lineup for the match up has been also announced.

Saturday June 10ths soccer match up in Salem, Mass will be the second one this season between the Aztecs and the Lynx. The Aztecs came out on top 2-1 in the first game using quick transition speed to stymie the Lynx defense. The Lynx are hoping to avenge the loss and even the series.
The Aztecs, now 2-0-1, are off to a very strong start in the WPSL Eastern Conference this year. Leading forwards to watch for Boston include Jamie Gilbert, Meotis Erickson, Kristin MacDonald and Myriam Del Pozo. The Aztecs front line carries considerable speed and - in combination with team’s ability to transition - can threaten any opponent. The Lynx will have their hands full trying to keep the defense back and not let balls drop in behind them so Boston can run onto them.
The Lynx players continue to come together both on and off the field, and are looking stronger every day. Their ability to move the ball demonstrates the caliber of players that have come to the team and Aztecs should have a pretty good challenge to defend against some of the recent Lynx roster arrivals, including Australian World Cup team player Heather Garriock and Australian National team and Olympic player Danielle Small.
I think it will be a great match up between two good teams. I thought our first game probably deserved at least a draw. Both teams have improved since our first meeting so it should be exciting.” -- Aztecs Head Coach Dushawne Simpson
Some key Lynx players for the match this Saturday include top scorers Heather Garriock ( Matilda & Australian International) & Mary Velan (SUNY Oneonta), midfielder Caitlin Colfer ( Ohio St.), the sound backfield led by Kylee Litchfield ( St. Rose)and keepers Pattie Carroll (Siena College) and Laura Marcone (SUNY Oneonta).

According to Aztecs Coach Dushawne Simpson, the two teams are sure to put on a great battle for the win, “I thought our first game probably deserved at least a draw,” says Simpson, “Both teams have improved since our first meeting, so it should be exciting.”
With rain in the forecast for the weekend, these teams may (again) face adverse conditions, but rain or shine, be assured they’ll both be ready to light it up on the pitch. The game at the O'Keefe Sports complex at Salem State College will be held on an artificial surface with great drainage, the field conditions should be pretty reasonable, no matter what the weather is come game time.
Game time is 7:00 pm. Be sure to stop and catch the on field action -- plenty of tickets are always available at the gate, the day of the game. For more ticket info, please contact Mike Kersker, Edgar de Leon or the Boston Aztecs Office: Aztec Soccer,
