Only a few weeks after finishing with college for the summer, three Adirondack Lynx players, who are also State University of New York at Oneonta (SUNYO) soccer teammates, Laura Morcone, Mary Velan, and Tricia Jaeger, are having a bit of a summer soccer homecoming back in their old college town.

On Saturday, May 20, the trio of SUNYO standouts, will be leading the Lynx team this weekend, right back to Oneonta, for a Women's Premier Soccer League match up against the Boston Aztecs hosted by the National Soccer Hall of Fame at At-A-Glance Stadium.

"It's pretty funny actually, the gals just left town for the summer and now they're heading right back there with the Lynx", notes Lynx head coach PJ Motsiff.

Although the game in Oneonta is labeled as a home game on the WPSL schedule, the Oneonta Hall of Fame Stadium is located nearly 2 hours away from the Lynx's hometown of Glens Falls and first their 'real' home field game at the Adirondack Sports Complex Dome. ( Sat June3 at 7:30pm )

"This match is really an away game for both us and for the Boston Aztecs, so neither team will have much of a home field advantage by playing in Oneonta", adds Motsiff.

"So we're hoping our 'SUNYO Trio' will still have some classmates, family, and very loud college friends still in town to spice up our game", he added.

Also interesting and noteable is that Laura Morcone, who is a SUNYO senior and graduating college on the same day as the game, has even gone so far as to alter her graduation schedule, so she can take the field as starting goalkeeper for the Lynx.

The game will be held at "At-a-Glance" Stadium on the campus of the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta, NY at 2 pm on May 20th. Tickets will be sold at the gate, there is plenty of seating for all interested in attending.
