More players commit from Ohio State

Lauren Robertson and Cassie Dickerson will be coming east

Lauren Robertson, A goalkeeper currently in the U21 US National team pool and Cassie Dickerson, one of the best defenders to come out of the state of Michigan, will be joining two other Buckeye players on the team, Cait Colfer and Keiana Mitchell.

Robertson (Mission Viejo, Calif./So Cal Blues) had a phenomenal freshman year at Ohio State. She was a 17 game starter. Along the way she recorded 5 shut-outs. Her goals against average was .95 and her save percentage was .785.

At the completion of the season Robertson's freshman year did not go unnoticed. Her efforts earned her the rights to be selected to 3 different national organizations. She was selected to the Soccer Buzz All-Freshman team, Top Shelf All-Freshman team, and as an NSCAA All American.

Prior to attending Ohio State, Robertson was a member of the Southern California Blues Club team. She also competed for Region IV and the California state ODP squads between 2002-2005. Most notably, Robertson saw action with the Under-16 U.S. National Team in 2004.

Ohio State Coach, Lori Walker states that Robertson is "A wonderful, athletic talent, who was a nationally touted goalkeeper, Lauren brings great shot-stopping ability, a strong tactical understanding of the game, and overwhelming courage and tenacity "

Cassie Dickerson missed her freshman year at Ohio State due to a knee injury but is expected to return next fall to play alongside junior standout, Keiana Mitchell as a central defender. Dickerson, a top recruit out of the state of Michigan was the leading scorer for her school her freshman, sophomore, and junior years as a three-year starter. Dickerson was named to the all-region and all-state squad in 2005. Dickerson's ODP experience includes playing for the Michigan ODP team for eight seasons and is a current member of the Region Team II pool.

"Cassie is a very gifted athlete with very quick feet," Walker said. "Her one-on-one defending, ability to read the game, and solid possession will immediately raise the level of play for those player around her. "
