The Adirondack Lynx of the WPSL, 2006 Eastern Divisional Finalists and regular season Eastern (North) Division Champions will waste no time getting to the heart of their schedule. They will open their season against the New England Mutiny on May 12. The Mutiny are loaded annually with WUSA, National team and top collegiate players.

Other matches that will be of interest in 2007 will be a rematch with the 2006 WPSL Champions, Long Island Fury. Last year the 2 teams split as they played in the regular season and in the Eastern Conference Finals. Long Island won when it was important and the Lynx will have this on their mind when they travel to their downstate rivals on June 24.

Probably the most looked forward to match this season will be against the newest team in the league, SoccerPlus CT. This is because the team will be coached by Tony DiCicco and he will pull-out no stops in recruiting the best players to Connecticut. This match will be played on June 2

Though Connecticut, New England, and Long Island are preseason favorites, there is not an easy match in the WPSL, one of the top 5 women's leagues in the world.

The 10-game schedule allows the Lynx to face each opponent in their division once (Boston Aztecs, Bay State Select, Massachusettes Stingers, Mutiny, Connecticut, Long Island and the New York Athletic Club) and 3 cross-over games with some of the East (south) divisional (NJ Real Shore, Maryland, and Philadelphia. oppenents.

The team is finalizing negotiations as to where it will play its home matches in 2007. Once this is confirmed these locations will be released to the media

“Our Divisional race in 2007 is going to be a battle! The lynx hope to build off their playoff success from last season,” comments Head Coach PJ Motsiff. “With a stronger conference from top to bottom, I expect all of the games to be highly competitive and meaningful. We are looking forward to the start of the season.”
