Laura Burnett-kurie

Laura Burnett-Kurie, a 2008 Graduate of William Smith College had a stellar career. She was selected by the Liberty Leagu eas freshman of the year and player of the Year, as well as being named an All-American 2x by the NSCAA.

Laura Burnett-Kurie (Oyster River/Durham, N.H.)has committed to playing with the Lynx this summer. Burnett-Kurie had a stellar collegiate career at William Smith. Over her four years she scored 42 goals and had 18 assists.

Burnett-Kurie is currently completing her first year on the other side of the "touchline" as she is the assistant coach at Gettysburg College in PA..

PJ Motsiff, Owner/General Manager of the Adirondack Lynx is excited to have Burnett-Kurie on the team this year. "We are having one of those rebuilding years and bringing in a player like Laura brings some stability to the team. She is a leader and many of our new faces will really appreciate her stepping up and demanding more from them. Laura has a reputation of being a winner. She played her youth career at Seacoast United (NH) and then in college at William Smith. At both programs she was a standout. I am positive she will bring a new level of play to our team too.

Laura Burnett-Kurie was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Women’s NCAA Division III All-America team in 2006 and 2007.

During her Collegiate career she was one of the top forwards in the east. Laura reached 102 points over her career at WIlliam Smith, making her just the fifth Heron in the history of the program to record 100 career points, and she currently stands fourth on the all-time list.

Burnett-Kurie was A Liberty League Player and Rookie of the Year selection, she was William Smith’s driving offensive force throughout her career. She led the Herons to a 56-13-8 record, including a 23-3-2 mark in the Liberty League. This led to Laura being selected as a four-time all-league and all-state pick and three-time NSCAA all-region honoree.
