Mandi Casares (Rahway, NJ), Binghamton Universities play maker will be making her first appearance with the Lynx this summer. She is the "engine" for B U and will play a similar role for Adirondack.
Casares comes out of a NJ "hotbed" of soccer. In high school she excelled as one of the best players in the state. She played club soccer for Parsippany Soccer Club, one of the top clubs out of NJ. In fact in 2005 she was selected he MVP of her Super Y team when they won a national championship.
"I expect Mandi to come in this summer to the Lynx and pick up where she left off in the America East Conference," states PJ Motsiff, Owner/General Manager of the Adirondack Lynx. "Mandi is a true central midfielder that makes those players around her shine! She is a warrior and will leave it all on the field. Her strength is how she plays under pressure....she always seems to make excellent decisions on both sides of the ball.
At Binghamton Casares has started 50 of 51 games. She has helped her team into the post season the last three years. She led the team in goals in 2007 and in 2008 she was the assist leader.
