Caitlin Colfer has a lengthy soccer/Academic resume that has allowed her to graduate early from Colonie HS and become an impact player as a freshman for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Profile

Caitlin hails from Albany, NY. She is a natural lefty with strong Coerver skills. She is extremely quick and explosive. At any point she has the ability to change a game. Cait graduated early from Colonie High School to attend the Ohio State University in March of 2005. This past fall Cait was one of only four players that started all 18 games for the Buckeyes. She led the team with six assists.

At Colonie High School Colfer acquired a shopping list of accolades...to name a few...she was named the 2005 Colonie High School Scholar Athlete of the Year, NSCAA/adidas high school All American (2004) (2003), three time first team All New York State (2004) (2003) (2002), 2003 New York State Section 2 Player of the Year. Caitlin was also the first female to score at least 100 goals (103) in her career while playing in the Suburban Council which is one of the toughest leagues in New York State. In her career she averaged over one goal per game. In 2005, Cait was rated as a "Top 50" recruit by Soccer Buzz Magazine.

In Club Soccer, Cait played in six consecutive state cup championship games winning state titles in Eastern NY with the Washingtonville Lady Storm U-14 (2001) and the Albertson Express U-18 (2005). Her Albertson Express team was ranked No. 1 in the nation and claimed four consecutive state championships. Prior to playing with Albertson, Cait led the Yankee United Hurricanes U-17 to its first Connecticut state title in 2004.

Cait is a five time Regional ODP player who represented "Team USA" at a U-17 international tournament in Castlebar, Ireland in 2004. She also represented Region 1 (Eastern US) in Spain and Portugal in 2003.
