Chelsea Berry, a sophomore at Syracuse University will be a part of the Adirondack Lynx in 2009. Berry hails from Lowville, NY where she was a high school stand out as she was an all-state soccer player. She was also a winner of six state titles in track and field. Not bad, considering she only ran track to stay in shape for soccer.

Robyn Pepicelli, asst. coach at Syracuse states, "Chelsea is very athletic. She might even be one of the fastest players in the Big East. We know that she can track down any player that is matched up with her. Two words I would use to describe her....fast and determined. "

Prior to Syracuse Berry Scored 95 goals and had 67 assists at Lowville Academy High School. During that time she also won state track titles in the 100, 200 and the 400 meters. PJ Motsiff, Lynx General Manager/Owner, believes, "Berry will make a huge impact on the 2009 team. I have been really looking for defenders that are tall, athletic and have some speed. Berry fits the mold!"
