Laura Stockdale plays her college soccer at NCAA Division 2 powerhouse Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire. In 2007 Stockdale did a marketing internship with the Lynx organization while playing. She played a number of key roles and was at her best when the team finished the season winning 6 of their last 8 matches. This past fall Stockdale led her team to the 2007 NCAA Division 2 National Championship. Before playing at Franklin Pierce, Stockdale played with Lindsey Wilson College in the NAIA. Her freshman year the team finished as NAIA National Finalists.

Prior to coming to the United States to play soccer on scholarship she attended the Saint Anthony's Girls School and trained at the National Women's Football Academy in England from 1999- 2002.

Jeff Bailey, the Franklin Pierce head coach says "Laura is a player. She is very mature and can play a number of positions. She is two footed and reads the game very well."

General Manager, PJ Motsiff feels "Laura really rounds out our roster in the midfield. With her being able to play both feet, it will makes her very versatile and allows us to change her position on the fly to exploit weaknesses. This should cause problems for other teams."
