Profile

Along with founding and managing the Adirondack Lynx WPSL team, Motsiff has started a girls elite soccer academy for players 10-19 in the Albany/Saratoga region of New York State. The Lynx Academy trains year round. For the past 2 years Motsiff has been an assistant at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. In 2006, he helped lead the Thoroughbreds to their most successful season ever. They had the most wins ever in a season and made it to the Liberty League Finals. He is also the Director of Soccer for Golden Goal Soccer Tournament Park, a residential tournament park located near Lake George in upstate New York.

This past season the Adirondack Lynx were successful but finished the year 6-4 and missed making the play-offs by one game in the competitive Eastern Division of the WPSL. In 2006, Motsiff lead the Lynx in the teams inaugural season to a 7-3 mark. This was good enough for first place in the their division. In the play-offs the team was able to make it to the WPSL Eastern Conference play-offs, before losing to the eventual 2006 WPSL national champions, Long Island Fury.

Motsiff coached his Black Watch Premier U19 girls to an undefeated record (8-0-1) in the Northeast Division of the Super Y League and made it to the National Finals in 2004. He also trained a U23 team with Black Watch, and played friendlies and tournaments with W-league and WPSL teams. A number of those Black Watch girls are also currently on the the roster with the Lynx.

Prior to being involved in the club environment Motsiff coached at Ballston Spa High School where his teams have won divisional and league titles. He was nominated three times in 3 years for coach of the year from 2001-2004.

His college coaching career also brought him to SUNY Cortland and the College of Saint Rose prior to the Lynx position of Head Coach.
