Tracy Stankavage, a 2008 Graduate of William Smith College will be a key cog in the Lynx defense this summer. in 2007 she was selected as Liberty league Player of the Year, as well as being named an NSCAA All_American.

Tracy Stankavage (Chittenango, NY), William Smith College All-American and 2007 Liberty League Player of the Year will be reunited with her former teammate Laura Burnett-Kurie while playing for the Adirondack Lynx in 2009.

PJ Motsiff, Owner/General Manager of the Adirondack Lynx is proud to announce the addition of Tracy Stankavage (Chittenango, NY) to the 2009 Roster "Bringing in Tracy and reuniting her with Laura (Burnett-Kurie) is huge! While Laura was doing all the scoring for nationally ranked William Smith in 2007, Tracy was holding down the defensive side. She was grinding it out and making it difficult for opposing teams to score. I am really looking forward to having Tracy bring a new level of intensity to our team this summer."

In 2007, Stankavage, anchored a William Smith defense that allowed just 10 goals all season, posted a league-low 0.52 goals against average, and 11 shutouts. The Herons gave up a league-low 1.21 points per game, allowing their opponents a combined 23 points all season, to William Smith’s 102. As well as being named player of the year, Tracy was an NSCAA All-American and an all-league first team pick that year.

Prior to being an All-American at William Smith, Tracy was an all-NY State player at Chittenango, NY. She was a five year member of the varsity team and in 2003 she helped her high school team get to the state finals.
