#GivingTuesday

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many people focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year.

December 1, 2015 is considered #GivingTuesday and if you have new or lightly used soccer gear that your child has outgrown or doesn't like (balls, cleats, shinpads, goalie gloves, etc.) feel free to place it on the table when you walk in.  As you walk out, if there is something that tickles your fancy...take it!  We will use #GivingTuesday as an opportunity to do a soccer equipment exchange.  Any gear not swapped at the end of two weeks will be donated to a local player this spring or sent to PASSBACK an organization that collects soccer equipment for children in other countries that don't have the resources to play.
